August in Barcelona has very special time. Most of the locals run out from heat and tourists. Life in the city is paused, only sights, bars, restaurants and beaches are crowded with visitors.

In September, as during any other time of the year, there are concerts and festivals, passes one by one. One of the main street event is the festival La Merce. During the festival there are street processions, tasting of alcoholic beverages and national dishes, shows of dancers and rope walkers, music concerts, performances and sports activities. The culmination of La Merce – the construction of towers of people in St. Jaume Square.
